Library

These halls were once a joyous place. A hero resided here, in this library, among the bookshelves. Now most of the books have been lost, lost to the world’s other side. The literature remaining in this place, however, is so incredible it’s a shame nobody thought to take it. There is but one place on this planet, in this entire dimension, even, where there still is life. That place is not here. This is just an old, abandoned library, lost to the ages.

Lights! Impossible! The voices of men, arrogant, mindless men, are heard. They chant songs and dance to their tunes, but do not do so out of good will, or good lives, they do so to mock this old place. Who are these men? That matters not. This place is the home of knowledge, but the sand that covers this place, it has not protected it, and so the guardian must stop the men. The guardian put on his mask and went to fight the men.

The shadows of the light revealed that which I cannot tell you, it told the tale of a man who could take down twenty in a matter of seconds. The light went out, and the guardian took the men, taking them to the place they entered, the portal to a place where you could once live free.
